Host: Welcome everyone! Today we’re diving into something both simple and profound – sharing the Gospel with one person every day. We interviewed Werner, Avi, Niklas, and Paula, who’ve made that their daily lifestyle. Let’s explore how they started, what they learned, and why they believe *you* can do it too.
Question 1:
GO: Let’s start with the basics. Avi, what exactly is the ONE Challenge?
Avi: It’s really straightforward – share the Gospel with one person every day, every week or every month. That’s it. Sounds simple, like saying “run a marathon” – but anyone who’s run one knows simplicity doesn’t equal ease.
GO: So what makes it hard?
Paula: It’s not just about speaking. It’s about walking with God, leaning on Him daily, confronting your fears, and caring deeply for others’ salvation. That takes heart.
Werner: It’s not a performance. It’s obedience. And it’s rewarding. Jesus promised in Matthew 10:32, “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” That keeps me going.
Question 2:
GO: When you started, what caught you off guard?
Niklas: I wish I knew to have an “emergency plan.” Some days I just didn’t want to do it. So I created a backup: if I didn’t meet anyone during the day, I’d hop on a dating app just to strike up Gospel conversations with bored people online.
Avi: For me, it was the idea of persistence. Missing a few days felt like failure, and it was hard to start again. But this challenge isn’t about perfection – it’s about being available for God to use you.
Paula: I didn’t expect how much it would draw me closer to Jesus. Every encounter brought me nearer to His heart. It’s like partnering with your best friend every day.
Question 3:
GO: Let’s talk about your backgrounds. People might think they’re “not the type” to share the Gospel. What would you say?
Werner: I used to chase fame, hanging around rock stars. Then someone stopped me on the street and told me about Jesus. That one moment changed my life. When I first heard about sharing the Gospel daily, I thought it was crazy. But God confirmed it through prayer and others – and now it’s part of who I am.
Avi: I’m a carpenter, I love sports. I’m outgoing, sure, but this was still a challenge. What helped me was realizing I wanted evangelism to be more than events – I wanted it to be part of everyday life.
Niklas: I’m the opposite – quiet, introverted. I used to struggle even talking to friends. But God met me in a dark time and said, “I love you, come as you are.” That love changed everything. Now, even though I still battle fear, I know God uses me.
Paula: I’m a therapist in a hospital, and I’m not into small talk. But I *do* love heart-deep conversations. I struggled with consistency at first, but then God laid it on my heart to offer prayer to every new patient. That became my starting point – and I haven’t looked back.
Question 4:
GO: Sharing the Gospel every day can be tough. How do you stay motivated?
Avi: I started with a friend. We held each other accountable and went out together. That support made all the difference.
GO: Sounds like the buddy system works?
Paula: It really does. Jesus sent people out in pairs for a reason. You can debrief together, reflect, and grow as a team.
Niklas: And you’re never really alone. Acts 1:8 says the Holy Spirit empowers us to be His witnesses. When I don’t feel it, I pray and trust He’ll show up – and He does.
Question 5:
GO: What are some powerful moments you’ve experienced?
Niklas: I met a guy who had served Satan for seven years and was addicted to drugs. I told him Jesus could set him free – and right there, he gave his life to Christ. You could see peace wash over him.
Werner: I once approached a young woman who turned out to be a prostitute. Her life was filled with trauma. But as I shared Jesus’ love, she said she felt something lift off her. That’s why I do this.
Paula: I prayed for a woman with back pain on a train. Her pain vanished immediately. Later, I found out she gave her life to Christ that day – and her back has been fine ever since. Her face was glowing with new hope.
Question 6:
GO: How has this challenge impacted your faith?
Werner: It’s been thrilling! Every day is a new adventure with God. My empathy has grown through seeing people’s need for Christ. It’s humbling and energizing.
Avi: I used to be afraid, but that fear melted away. Now I see evangelism not as pressure, but as partnership with God. It’s honestly addicting in the best way.
Paula: I stopped seeing evangelism as a “duty.” Now it’s part of who I am. The more I share, the more my belief deepens. It’s a beautiful cycle.
Question 7:
GO: What advice do you have for someone struggling to get started?
Avi: Be honest with God. If I feel reluctant, I tell Him – and ask for His perspective. That always helps.
Paula: Use the tools out there – training, testimonies, whatever helps you take that first step. No one starts out as a master evangelist. You just start.
Niklas: And if you’ve taken a break, just pick it up again. Don’t beat yourself up. God’s grace is enough – and the mission is still worth it.
Question 8:
GO: Let’s be real. Some days are hard. Why?
Niklas: I still get anxious. I still want to avoid people. But when I push past that, I usually find someone God really wanted me to meet.
Avi: We make excuses or overthink things. But I’ve learned not to trust every thought I have. Trust God instead.
Paula: Fear, excuses, past failures – they’re all common. But the Gospel is worth pushing through them. And God is faithful to meet us in our weakness.
Question 9:
GO: Final thoughts?
Werner: It starts with one decision: “Yes, Lord, I will go.” From there, God does the heavy lifting. Just stay available.
Avi: Let your story speak. God gave it to you for a reason.
Niklas: If God can use someone like me, He can definitely use you.
Paula: It’s not about being perfect – it’s about being willing. That’s all God needs.
