Thousands Reached, Lives Transformed in South Asia Leading Up to GO Day

In the weeks leading up to GO Day, more than 5,000 GO Teams took the Gospel to over 68,000 unreached villages across South Asia. Using Gospel banners, they shared the message of Jesus Christ in many Hindu-dominated areas where the Good News had never been heard before.

The results were remarkable:

  • 3,898,329 people heard the Gospel through the banners
  • 210,842 people accepted Christ as their Savior

Amid these numbers are powerful personal stories of transformation; lives forever changed by an encounter with Jesus.

Sadhir’s Story: From Sickness to Strength

Sadhir was born into a Hindu family and was often sick as a child. His poor health caused his family to treat him badly, and he never had friends. On Pentecost Saturday, two visitors came to his village to share about Jesus Christ. At first, he ignored them, but when he heard how Jesus had healed them, he began to listen.

Sadhir asked them to pray for him, believing Jesus could help. As they prayed, he felt a sensation like electricity flow through his whole body, and strength returned. He knew God had touched him. That day, Sadhir gave his life to Jesus. Now, he is happy, healthy, and strong. His family, seeing the change in him, also chose to follow Jesus.

Jayanti’s Story: From Loneliness to Joy

cried alone and even thought about ending her life. One day, two believers came to her village and shared about God’s love and the sacrifice of Jesus for all people. Her heart was moved.

When Jayanti asked how to receive Jesus, they told her to speak to Him as to a friend—because He hears, saves, and guides. Immediately, she prayed. Peace and joy filled her heart, and she felt light in her spirit. She thanked God for making her His daughter.

What God has done in Sadhir’s and Jayanti’s lives is happening all across South Asia; countless people are hearing the Gospel, encountering Jesus, and finding hope, healing, and new life.
